The company said that T-Mo is the first carrier on the new DAS
Quantum Wireless has installed a new high-speed, broadband cellular network at the Augusta Entertainment Complex, in the city of Augusta, Georgia. The company its Quantum distributed antenna system (DAS) is designed to improve wireless coverage, capacity and data speeds during events at James Brown Arena and the Bell Auditorium. Together, these two venues make up the Augusta Entertainment Complex, the main entertainment venue for the Augusta metro area.
The Quantum DAS is a neutral-host system, capable of providing service for all major wireless carriers inside both venues. The firm said that customers of T-Mobile US will be the first to benefit from the wireless connectivity provided by the Quantum network.
“Mobile connectivity is crucial for today’s fan experience,” said Chris Bird, Spectra general manager of the Augusta Entertainment Complex. “Having good cell service at entertainment venues is no longer a customer convenience, it’s a customer expectation. This new Quantum system ensures our visitors can stay connected on their mobile devices, and it’s a significant upgrade in support of our mission to provide top-notch, quality entertainment and further enhance the quality of life here in Augusta.”
